Eligibility:

• Advanced pianists born after October 2003.

• Current teacher contact information or two letters of reference.

Where: 

• Round 1 and 2 in Chicago, IL

• Round 3 in Chicago, IL

Fees:

$175 Application Fee if received on/or before August 1, 2025

• Applications received after August 2, 2025 are $200

• All applications must be received by September 15, 2025

• All application fees are non-refundable

$25 New Composition Score Fee 

• Score will arrive at students addresses on August 1, 2025

Performance Requirements:

• Memorization required for all pieces

1. WTC Prelude and Fugue from Book 1 or 2

2. Two contrasting movements from a Classical Sonata (must include a Sonata Allegro movement and a slow movement)

3. Bravura Piece from the Romantic or Impressionist Period

4. Featured Composer Original Contemporary Composition for 2020 NMNYAC
